Itinerary

10:00 | Arrival in a renowned pastry shop in the historic center of Turin.

Private workshop for the creation of Giandujotto (or, alternatively, for the preparation of Vermouth).

Giandujotto: legend has it that Giandujotto was born because of the continental blockade of 1806 imposed by Napoleon. In fact, cocoa at that time was difficult to find, as well as being particularly expensive; therefore it is said that in Piedmont many chocolatiers had started making chocolate by replacing part of the dough with hazelnuts, a typical and abundant product in the hills of the region. During this experience you will discover all the secrets relating to the history and preparation of gianduja chocolate, a very fine cocoa dough enriched with Nocciola Piemonte IGP, from which the Turin chocolate, with the unmistakable shape of an overturned boat, is born. At the end of the workshop, take home the giandujotti made with your own hands.

Vermouth: created in 1786 by Antonio Benedetto Carpano in his Turin workshop, Vermouth is a flavored and fortified wine with an alcoholic maceration of herbs and spices (leaves, flowers, roots, bark etc.). It can be enjoyed straight or mixed as a base for classic cocktails such as the famous Negroni and Americano. The workshop is a fun and interactive way of becoming a 'Vermuttieri' (Vermouth-makers), where you can choose your favorite ingredients and create your own secret recipe. At the end of the workshop take home your Vermouth bottle with a personalized label.
